What I've always wondered about non-girlfriend who keeps the ring is going to do with it. Wear? That could be difficult. Keep the bottom of east bridal jewelry box? Again, awkward - I do not like old Wedding Dresses that has given me all exes. Sell it? Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this, but it seems rather petty - even if the giver of the ring was very abusive I could say anything to hock the plane tix to an amazing place.
Calls for a wedding is one thing to do emotionally charged, so you really want a piece of bling (or the cash equivalent) to remind you or your spouse once he said "no" before that someone had the opportunity to say "I do"?
I hate the idea that it is still a problem. So what if the ring was a wholesale dress or a way to close the deal or something else? My idea of good manners does not include trying to profit from a failed relationship (unless, as I mentioned earlier, there are some serious issues in question.) Now you tell me: Is there any situation imaginable where the keeping the ring would be a love, not hate?
