Affordable Prom Dresses Inspired by Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture

Elie Saab is one of my favorite fashion designers. His collection is always considered as the prettiest and exquisite one on runway shows. So it came as no surprise that the Elie Saab Spring 2012 Couture was just as stylish and inspiring. It not only focused on the flowing dresses but also branched out by filling the runway with angelic spring color spectrum. No doubt, those beautiful dresses are pricy for us. Embroidered Bejeweled Prom Dresses

 

With its beading and 3-D blossom fabrics, the whole collection was the epitome of princess with a modern flare. On a color palette of gold, mint green, sky blue, lemon, ice white and coral, nearly every look was embroidered with tulle delicate lace petals. Particularly, the selection of bejeweled gold dresses was exciting for me.

For this look, start with an affordable prom dress with draping applieques and beadings. Add some matching accessories with the same bejeweled accent. Accentuate your top with a pair of gold earrings and finish the look off with basic sparkly heeled pumps. This outfit would be perfect for a very formal event or for a evening party.

Baby Blue Unique Prom Dresses

 

From a sea of dreamy pastel gowns, the powder baby blue dresses were the most impressive to me. The hue was so unreal and fairy-like that no wonder Katy Perry would pick out this dress for the 54th Grammy Awards.

Getting the Look

 

For sure, the foundation of this outfit is the baby blue dresses. The designer used a crystal embellished floor length gown, while we make our choice of blue from a beading cap sleeve V neck prom dress. To embrace the spring color to perfection, it is better to wear stylish accessories such as a oversized cocktail ring or a pair of pearl earrings. Finish the look off with some bright shoes for a little extra chic.

Sweet Pink Short Dresses

 

On the runway of the Elie Saab Spring 2012, what separated one from the next was the voluminous of a neckline, the presence or absence of sleeves and the occasional cape. But amid all that floor length dresses, we found the delicate show also offered a sweetly refined accent by pastel pink short dresses.

Getting the Look

 

To recreate the look, start with a strapless short pink prom dress with floral pattern at the waist. To give the outfit its sweet feel, pair the dress with a floral clutch. Finally, pair with some silver pumps. Not only is this look great for spring prom, but it could also easily be worn into a night out party.
